New for 2026
8U · 10U · 12U · 14U
Our competitive division, at four age levels. Only organizations that have been in the league more than one season and been approved by the league may field D1 teams.
10U · 12U · 14U
Our novice division, at three age levels. D2 is for players newer to the game — it teaches the basics and fundamentals and gives each player more time on the field. D2 teams practice on the same schedule and play the same number of games as D1.
Both divisions play by the same rules, including the same weight and age limits and the same minimum-play requirement — a flat number of total plays per game, which makes it easier for coaches to rotate every player fairly.
2026 Limits
These limits apply identically to D1 and D2, at every age level. Certification weight is the limit at the start of the season; the end-of-season maximum allows for normal growth. X-Men divisions have no weight ceiling.

Gear
Returned to the league at the end of the season. Using your own helmet requires proof of purchase and an approved helmet waiver.
The Commitment
Practice runs Monday through Friday, 6:00–8:00 PM, starting July 13. The league requires 10 hours of conditioning before any player may wear pads, and this is when coaches evaluate and place athletes. A player who misses practices must continue without pads until the 10 hours are met.
From mid-August, practice moves to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 6:00–8:00 PM, with games on Saturdays — occasionally Sundays, depending on field availability. Typical kickoffs: Jr. Pee Wee 9:00 AM, Pee Wee 11:00 AM, Jr. Varsity 1:00 PM, Varsity 3:00 PM.
Offseason
Independent local coaches and programs our families use. These are not run by the Lions and are not required to play.
